Their love story unfolds on the captivating streets of Barcelona. James, seeking respite from the chilly embrace of London, and Shannon, impulsively joining her friend on a girls trip from America, serendipitously arrived in the city on the same momentous day.

Unbeknown to them, destiny was about to weave a tale of love.

On that very first evening, as they embarked on separate paths towards dinners, their gazes intertwined for a fleeting moment across the street. While it seemed to them that time stood still, it nevertheless resumed its steady march as they continued in opposite directions, not speaking. Little did they know, their paths were destined to cross once more.

Later that night, in a different corner of the city, fate intervened once again, bringing the Brit and the American face to face across yet another street. In that moment, (and with the help of their dear friend, tequila) they chose to pause and say hello this time. What began as just a fun holiday fling blossomed into an intentional and enduring long-distance relationship, spanning a year and a half.

Countless international flights and never-ending hours lost in the consequence of time differences eventually led them to Nashville, Tennessee, where they now share a beautiful home and life together. On a sunny fall day on a lake in September, they sealed their commitment with an engagement. Beaming with excitement for their wedding with all of you by their sides, in September 2024 amongst the picturesque landscapes of Positano, Italy!
